At the beginning of the school year, I had the students work together to build the tallest tower they could that would still support a marshmellow. They were each given 20 spaghetti noodles, 1 marshmellow, tape & string. Cooperation was key to success.
-
As with all good structures, a solid foundation is needed. This group used pieces of their marshmellow to put their foundation together.

It wasn't the tallest, but this one did stay upright long enough to get measured at 18 inches.
-
Ooops, this one had a bit of a lean to it. They tried again.

And we have a winner!!! Congratulations guys, yours made it to an amazing height of 25 inches.
